Day 60?

Well, Ive been back on since Tuesday. I gained 3 pounds in Texas. I'm sure it will be no problem getting rid of that. One thing I did learn is that taking a break isnt the be all end all. With that being said, I think I'll take the day off on New Years Eve and celebrate my birthday.

Got to Texas. I had a handful of cashews and a piece of ham today. As soon as I was picked up everyone went out for Mexican food. I joined in. Im no party pooper. Oh well.

Day 61

Ughhhhhh...
Today I forgot to make my meal. I realized this about 11 o'clock. I had to split to do some last minute christmas shopping. What should I eat when I am out and about and no time to cook? Training at 3. Shit. Buffalo Wild Wings naked tenders with a touch of mild sauce. 10 to be exact. Very filling, very guilt free.
2:15 All done shopping. Take in some caffeine and what not and off to lift.
4:15 Go pick up the daughter and take her to the mall to see Santa Claus
8:00 When did I eat last. I think I'm dying. Oh shit. Two spoon fulls of natty peanut butter and a shake. Oh well...

Tomorrow I leave for Texas. I will have to figure out what to eat since the TSA won't allow anyone to be health conscious within the boarding terminal. Fucking Hajis. Ruin everything. I'll figure it out. Then I'll open a vitamin world at Airports everywhere and get rich.
While I am in Texas I will be going to dinner with my friend who just got back from Iraq. In 4 days I hope it is only once, but it may be twice. Who gives a shit. I'm not gonna deny a dinner with a long time friend who I rarely see. That would not only be a dick move it would be bodybuilder weird. So fuck it. I'm still gonna diet like a motherfucker and stick with my magic rice bowl, but I am also going to be a little loose about it for the next few days.

Day 63

I had National Guard drill this weekend. Whoops...two slip ups. Sunday Morning I had a small vegetable, ham and egg omelet and Saturday for lunch I had white rice, carrots and a chicken breast.

I am 10% done and down 5lbs in 1 week! I'm cutting back on the rice, adding some oils and looking to drive on with this progress. After this 5lbs hit I need to lose 2.5lbs a week to be on track of being 180 by week 10. I will even take 185. As long as I can be in a reasonable state to make the cut to 175 by May for circle city in Indianapolis

Day 66

Today sucks! I am down weight (207 again) and looking leaner already. But, I realized today just how far I have to go. I also have to go through Christmas (no big deal), a trip to Texas to visit a friend who recently got back from Iraq (Dave and Busters and alcohol!), and my BIRTHDAY! Jesus, what am I going to do? Keep this stupid diet going through my birthday or make room for a few breaks? I must get lean but at what cost?

Day 67

Woke up today and had a protein shake and two cups of coffee. About an hour later I weighed in at 209. What?
After I eat I get VERY hyper and have a real bad case of the ADHD. I also start feeling like I want to throw up. It really feels like this food is giving me to much energy.
I think I am going to cut back on the rice and add a little olive oil.
Hit a front squat of 370 today. Wouldn't it be awesome if I could hit 400 WHILE dieting?

Day 68

Made it through another day. I now know how alcoholics must feel. I realized now how much food controls my life! Since my meal is pre made and night and only needs to be reheated throughout the day I have a lot more free time. I also have a lot more energy. Today was harder than I thought because I am at work. Sitting around at work I might have to delay a meal due to a run and if we aren't on a run I get bored and see everyone else eating junk. I also realized that this diet is going to overlap my birthday! Not a big deal. I just have to remind myself of my goals and how in the long run this will be worth it. Also, after I get in the shape I want to be in I can take a day to reward myself.
Now, here is some good news
Weight 207. That's a pound a day so far. At this rate I will be 175 in a month! I know the progress will slow down and see some plateaus

Day 69

It's almost 1 in the afternoon. I just got done walking for an hour and now Im finishing off large bowl #2. The meal makes me feel good and what bodybuilders call "pumped" so I know the food has got to be really nutrient dense.
Yesterday I didn't eat nearly enough. I got stranded with the wife in kid at my parents house after a nasty snow storm. Fortunately I bring a 5lbs drum of protein with me where ever I go so I had a shake last night and a shake this morning. When I got home I found all my diet green tea had thawed out and is now drinkable again! This is a huge bonus.
Day 2 isn't bad and the food is still tasty.
Weighed in at 208 after my cardio.

Day 70.

So far I have had this meal twice today and one protein shake. I don't think this challenge is going to be that bad.
Last night I went all out on my favorite foods. Papa John's pizza, sunchips, coke, orange juice, little Debbies smores. It's no wonder my waist line has gotten out of control.
I stepped on the scale this morning and weighed in at 210. Went to lift and hit a snatch PR of 82 kilos (180lbs). At 3:30 this afternoon I got on the treadmill and did some easy walking for half an hour. So far everything is going well.

Monday will be day 70

Im going to start out with the highest number. That way everyday I make a journal entry it is smaller number. It's going to be the little things that make or break me.

Starting Monday, December 8 2008 I am going to create one meal for myself.
3.5 cups of rice
1lbs of lean ground beef
4tablespoons of sesame oil
8 egg whites
4 whole eggs
vegetables
soy sauce

add 2 protein shakes and this is the exact same menu I will have for 70 days.
Think I can do it?
